New Drug Dangers Affecting Our Neighborhood

The DEA has already seized enough fentanyl this year to kill every single American. The #1 cause of death in 18-45-year-olds is overdose by illicit fentanyl poisoning.

Kyara Mascolo, a neighbor of ours, lost her 37-year-old son in November of 2020. He bought a few oxy pills and a little bit of cocaine, and they were laced with deadly fentanyl without his knowledge. It only takes the size of 2 grains of salt of fentanyl to kill you. Life will never be the same for her family. She appeared on Fox News (link here) to talk about her son and to educate other people about the dangers of Fentanyl with the hope of preventing other families from experiencing her unimaginable heartbreak. The Mascolo family’s grief helped uncover a massive, tech-savvy illegal drug operation that delivered drugs to your house like Postmates does for food.

These drugs are sold on social media apps like Snapchat. Kyara says “I have met several parents who lost their 13, 14 or 16 year old children who experimented with drugs for the first time. Drug dealers pull up to their house with fake Oxy, Adderall, Percocet, Ecstasy or cocaine just as if they were delivering a pizza.  They didn’t have the luxury of experimenting and deciding if they like the effects of drugs or not like other generations did. They took one pill one time and died immediately.”

The times have changed!! It is not safe to use any drugs at all now. Don't think “it won’t happen to me” or “I know my drug dealer.” It has been the last words of too many people!!

Kyara’s son, Jack (AKA Smilez), recorded this song about his brother.
