Sunset Plaza Water Project

LADWP is beginning a project to replace water pipes on (and some off) Sunset Plaza Dr. between Hollywood Blvd. and Rising Glen Rd.  These are among the worst pipes in the city.

They will be working in stages, starting at the bottom of the work area and moving up the street.  The work will be lengthy and inconvenient.  They will need to close Sunset Plaza Dr. to through-traffic most of the time when they are working, which will be during normal work hours.

They will work closely with residents on the segments under construction to make sure homes are accessible.

A presentation on this project will be made at the upcoming Neighborhood Council meeting (Wednesday, February 26, 7 pm, American Jewish University, 15600 Mulholland Dr.).  We will circulate any information we receive; if you attend this meeting, you will be able to ask questions and meet the coordinators of the project.  We have asked for an additional more convenient neighborhood meeting but LADWP has thus far declined to book a venue.

This work is going to cause a great deal of inconvenience but it's necessary, and DWP will make best efforts to have it go as smoothly as possible.
